Vidyaweb is an initiative to create communities of students and facilitate the efforts of students for a rewarding career.

Students enrolled in distance-learning and non-formal programs are typically scattered geographically and have minimum contact with the institution and faculty. Further, they do not have the comfort of peer group of fellow students taken for granted in traditional education institutions like schools and colleges. This gives rise to a sense of isolation and disorientation which can be very demoralising.

Vidyaweb strives to instill a sense of belonging and orientation amongst the distance-learners by developing institution-specific online communities like doeaccmantra.com. Not only these online communities provide a platform for students to share their aspirations, experiences and frustrations with their peers, but become a natural choice for keeping them updated with regard to their studies. This helps the students feel more confident and orients them better for their chosen course. Moreover, exchange of resources like notes and question papers leads to better preparation for clearing their respective exams.

We are committed to developing engaging e-learning and promote enhanced interaction using accessible technology. We at Vidyaweb, however, realise that too much reliance on technology and exciting visuals may distort the curriculum by focusing students' attention on the entertaining and provocative features of the presentation rather than encouraging thoughtful analysis of their underlying meaning.
